ESTIA Launches a Generative AI Center of Excellence in Collaboration with Datum Academy, Exakis Nelite, and Microsoft
On July 3, 2024, ESTIA announced the launch of a Generative AI Center of Excellence, strengthening its digital education offerings. This initiative, supported by Exakis Nelite (Magellan Partners Group) and Microsoft, will enhance ESTIA’s technological infrastructure and expand the integration of Generative AI in education and research. Key Highlights
Enhanced Digital Transformation: ESTIA will implement a cloud-based Microsoft Azure infrastructure and develop generative AI applications for personalized learning through digital assistants, including "LAMINA" for students and staff.
Generative AI Center of Excellence: Embedded within the DATA LAB of the BIHAR Master of Science program, this center will focus on educational innovation and explore applications in sectors such as agriculture and composite engineering.
Microsoft Learn Integration: Starting October 2024, the BIHAR and eBIHAR programs will incorporate Microsoft Learn modules, offering certifications in Big Data and AI that are convertible into academic credits (ECTS).
International Expansion: In partnership with Datum Academy, ESTIA plans to establish an International Applied AI Institute in France and Africa, with feasibility studies already underway in Madagascar.
"Digital Knowledge Companions" Initiative: Datum Academy will launch online generative AI training programs, aiming to educate 100,000 Africans and 10,000 Malagasy annually in fields like prompt engineering and AI application development.
Leadership Perspectives Thomas Coustenoble (Microsoft) emphasized the project’s potential to advance innovation in education, while Arnaud Berrebi (Exakis Nelite) highlighted the role of Generative AI in transforming organizations. Patxi Elisalde (ESTIA) and Serge Miranda (Datum Academy) expressed their commitment to creating global educational impact through this ambitious collaboration.
This partnership represents a pivotal step in making cutting-edge AI education accessible and impactful for diverse global audiences.
