- What are the admission criteria for the eMBDS master program?
INITIAL EDUCATION: If you have completed the 1st year of a Master in Computer Science (also possible with MIAGE master in France), you can enroll for the eMBDS master program (2nd year of a Master degree in CS). The criteria for regular students are the same as for online students.
CONTINUOUS EDUCATION: If you have a bachelor degree with some years of experience, you could validate such practical know-how with course equivalence validation (VAE/VES system in French universities); for example, Oracle certifications from eMBDS naturally lead to credit transfer of eMBDS courses selected in the MBDS program.

7 courses from the University and 7 courses from Oracle University (Note: some courses could be transferred or already Oracle certified and waved)
- How many total hours are required?
The online program might be seen more difficult than the residential one as stu- dents should demonstrate learning autonomy. This typically corresponds to an academic quarter which could also encompass 2 (or 3) Oracle courses.

For a university course, each weekly module requires 5 hours of student work, which could lead to 15 hours of online activity per week for 3 courses. This typically corresponds to an academic quarter which could also encompass 2 or 3 Oracle courses.
- How long does it take to complete and receive the degree?
The online degree could be obtained in an academic year with 4 quarters, taking 3 courses per quarter. A jury meeting is hold at the end of each academic year session. Once it's done, you'll receive a certificate of achievement for the whole degree . The diploma will be edited by the University after (it always take a long time for the diplomas to get edited because they have to be signed by the dean, the president of the University or of the CS department) and be sent by postal way.
- How will you handle grading? Will each student be evaluated individually or is there an automated process?
Since exams and certifications use Q&A, students will get an individual grade and a jury will validate the results in the same way as with the residential degree. There is one free attempt at each certification exam included in the Oracle Learning Subscription, but no free retakes as well as for the academic exams.

You must contact the BARE (Bureau d'aide à la reprise d'études) to obtain a quote (contact bare@unice.fr - Nadine.TOURNOIS@univ-cotedazur.fr or Hubert.LASSERRE@univ-cotedazur.fr)
You will need to contact this service for all registration procedures.

You must go to the CPF online mobilization platform of its OPCO (autonomous CPF), complete the cost of the training yourself. Then ask the BARE (Bureau d'Aide à la Reprise d'Etudes) for a quote and send it to OPCO.
You will need to contact BARE to complete the administrative part of the registration.
